  • Installing Trailer Wiring Harness in 2009 Mercury Mariner Without Factory Tow Package Wiring
  • The trailer wiring harness you reference, Draw-Tite # 118251, is intended for the Mercury Mariner that is equipped with the factory tow package (but will not fit vehicles with backup sensors built into the rear bumper). For your 2009 Mercury Mariner without factory-installed tow package the correct wiring harness is Tow Ready # 118551. This part uses a powered converter that draws its power directly from the vehicle battery. It plugs into your Mariner tail light wiring and requires no...

  • Is the SmartPlug RV and Marine Power Inlet UL Listed
  • The SmartPlug RV and Marine Power Inlet - 50 Amp - Stainless Steel # SM79FR is ETL listed which, to my understanding, is just a slight variation of UL listed. So while it doesn't have that exact rating, it's still safe to use and has been approved by OSHA standards for electrical use.

  • Interior How Many Opti-Brite LED Dome Light # ILL06COB for Nose of Trailer
  • Since the Opti-Brite LED Dome Light # ILL06COB is LED it will draw a very low amount of amperage when illuminated. Because of that it can easily be powered by your marine battery and all ran to one switch. For the nose of a trailer 4 of these would be adequate. I attached a picture that shows how bright 4 of these lights light up a trailer interior for you to check out as well.

  • How to Connect Wiring to Marine Battery for Interior Lights of Enclosed Trailer to Work
  • To charge the marine battery in your trailer you need to run some wiring from the pin in the 11 o'clock position on your trailer 7-Way to your marine battery (see attached photo). This should be the same wire that your breakaway kit is connected to. If you have a junction box like part # PK52248 inside your trailer then you will just need to connect your battery to that 12V power wire. This will charge your battery whenever your trailer 7-Way is connected to your truck. For your reverse...

  • Fuel Choice for A-iPower Inverter Generator
  • The A-iPower 2,000-Watt Portable Inverter Generator - 1,600 Running Watts - Gas - Manual Start # 289-SUA2000I prefers to use standard gasoline with ethanol. Ethanol is used as an "oxygenate" and is added to fuel to help reduce hydrocarbon emissions that cause air pollution. The attached instructions state to "use clean, fresh, regular unleaded fuel with a minimum octane rating of 85." Marine fuel can actually cause your engine to produce less power and will require more fuel to perform...

  • How to Wire the Jensen Marine Amplified Subwoofer Part # JMPSW800
  • I assume you are referring to the Jensen Marine Amplified Subwoofer part # JMPSW800. If that is the case then I have attached the correct wiring diagram for you. There are a set of red/white RCA cables that will go to a stereo like the Furrion Stereo part # DV3100 and then a set of three wires; one for power, ground, and remote. The power wire will need to be attached to the vehicle's 12 volt battery with a 10 amp fuse placed within 18" of the positive terminal. The ground wire can be ran...

  • Installing the Marine 2-Position Battery Switch on Batteries Wired In Series
  • Because your batteries are wired in series, you'll just wire the Marine 2-Position Battery Switch # 277-000403 between the batteries and your power distribution box. You can start by cutting the wire from the batteries to the main line of the power distribution box and then wire one end of the wiring to either post underneath the switch. When the switch is "on" the circuit is completed and when it's "off" the circuit is deactivated. I've linked a photo of the bottom of this switch so you...

  • Which Battery Is Recommended For Badland 9000lb Winch?
  • I was not able to find any ballard winches, but perhaps you mean Badland winch? I looked at the owner's manual for the Badland 9000lb truck/suv winch and they recommend a battery with a minimum of 650 cold cranking amps (CCA). If you are hooking the winch up to a battery that is not on your vehicle and you plan to use it frequently, then I recommend going with a deep cycle / marine grade battery that has at least 650 CCA. This will hold up better since it is made to be drained and recharged...

  • How to Remove Battery Bank From AC/DC Setup on 2007 Rockwood Lite Trailer
  • Yes, you can ditch your battery bank and run everything off of shore power, but you will need to reconfigure a few things first - it's not as simple as disconnecting the battery and heading out. Disconnect the positive and negative connections from your battery and connect them to the DC panel to power your DC appliances. You'll also need to tie in any other DC powered things like jacks that may have been connected straight to the battery. Also, check on your breakaway battery. Some trailers...

  • What Size Hole Do I Have To Drill For The Furrion Marine Power Outlet # F30ITRBS?
  • I've gone ahead and pulled the Furrion Marine Power Inlet # F30ITRGS from the warehouse to check this for you. The diameter is 2-3/8 inches. Grab the closest hole saw you can get. If you cant get that exact size hole saw and had to choose between a smaller or bigger hole saw I would go with the smaller size and take a file to shave down the hole until you get a nice tight fit. the seal is about 1/2 inches wide so you could get away with a whole saw a little less than 3 inches if need be....

  • Power Requirement for DL25215 Electric Winch
  • The 7-way 12V connection will not provide enough power for the Dutton-Lainson StrongArm Electric Winch - Marine - 9,000 lbs # DL25215. The 12 volt pin will only provide approximately 2-4 amps on average when the vehicle is running, and that is why the 25 foot power wire with 8 foot ground is provided with this winch. It will allow you to easily connect to your tow vehicle battery directly or connect to a trailer battery. You may also be interested in the Dutton-Lainson Winch Cover # DL24051.

  • Can the Everchill RV Refrigerator w/ Freezer Be Run on a Battery Bank and Solar Power
  • The Everchill RV Refrigerator w/ Freezer # 324-000119 uses 11-amp hours of power, so it's going to consume 264 amp hours of power over the course of a day. You are not going to be able to run this off of just one solar panel and battery. You would likely need a battery bank closer to 4 batteries (at minimum 264 amp hours). A solar panel system like the Go Power Solar Elite Charging System # 34282184 would be a more appropriate sized solar charging system. But even so, would still likely...
